If you haven’t heard already, my really good friend’s mother was brutally murdered in her home this past Friday night in Hercules, CA. The killer fled in the family’s sky blue 2011 Subaru Outback (with Idaho license plates 1A1F680). The suspect is still on the loose and the police and family are asking for the public’s help to find the missing car. 

Here’s what we know:

- Mrs. Ko was killed sometime between 7pm-10:30pm at home
- Neighbors were called to check on her when she failed to pick up Mr. Ko from Oakland airport and was found dead in the entryway of the house
- Family car was stolen and still missing

Police don’t have a motive or suspect but are treating the case as a homicide and are asking the public for any help in locating the vehicle. There have been a few unconfirmed possible sightings including in Bakersfield and Davis Creek. At this point, it’s likely the car can be anywhere in the Western US and the Idaho plates may be missing or switched. 

If you see a suspicious vehicle matching the description police advise to call 911 or 510-724-1111 (Hercules PD) and note the exact time and location (cross streets, fwy mile markers).

So… I guess you all have heard/read/seen the news. It’s been pretty hard to miss it - the death of Sherlock Holmes. I’m gutted but I’m doing my best to keep it together. I don’t know about you guys, but I refuse to believe it. That he was a fraud. He just can’t have been, can’t have! I saw him at a crime scene once, I had followed the sound of sirens in hope it’d be one of his cases, and there is NO WAY he was a fake. You can’t make that sort of shit up, he was too good! He was an inspiration for all of us to be more observant in our every day lives, and I won’t accept the so called truth about Sherlock that is all over the media. I know you feel like I do, and now it’s our turn to show that we haven’t lost faith in him. Sherlock might be gone, but I won’t sit silent!

Imagine being a Sherlock fan in the show universe. You’ve been following the blog, stalking Sherlock a bit at crime scenes, try to be within earshot so you can hear him do his deductions. You’ve got cutouts from the papers. Then the news reach you. What do you do? Some would believe the papers, but not everyone would buy it. And they would do what they could to clear his name.

This is my take on what I would like to propose as a tribute campaign, to show our love and support. Yes, in real life. We put ourselves in the mindset of the in-show fans, and we take a Bad Wolf/Who Killed Amanda Palmer twist on it. Guerilla art/campaigning. (Not sure if everyone is familiar with WKAP. Palmer is an american artist who in order to promote her album told her fans to spread rumours about her death through street art. I can’t seem find any of it documented online though I’m afraid) 

Let’s scribble on cubicle doors, back of bus seats, lamp posts. I won’t tell anyone to do anything illegal, but graffiti like in the pictures would be amazing. Paint on t-shirts, make buttons, go to the beach and write in the sand. Take photos of what you’ve done, put on twitter or tumblr and tag it!

• Moriarty was real
• Richard Brook = FRAUD
• No doubt, Sherlock! (instead of no shit)

And feel free to come up with your own stuff!

Using digital media and spray paint is relevant to this chapter of the fandom. Why repeat what the original fandom did, when we can do something that is unique to us?

(I suggest you just grab an old t-shirt and slap some paint on it, but in case you’re not able to do that, I took the text from the two examples here and put them on a couple of shirts)

And my heart broke. I knew he had to do it, I knew he had to make John believe, but to do this, a suicide - not a physical fight to death with Moriarty but actually a psychological one - was even harder than anything the canon could have created. So much angst, so beautiful.

This is everything I’ve always wanted Reichenbach to be, but Martin Freeman takes it to another level.

It’s John Watson, between dignity and broken heart, between an almost military salute, and everything falling apart, between refusing to accept it, and slowly coming to terms with it nonetheless. It’s all the subtleties of a strong man with a soft heart, a kind soul who believed in Sherlock until the end, and still believes in him, because he knows, deep down, that he’s right.
It’s also John Watson, the wise loving sidekick, who had found his other half, and is alone again. But along the way, he found the greatest thing in his life, he found Sherlock, and he loved and was loved in return. The greatest thing you’ll ever learn, so they say… Two halves of a coin.

I don’t think I can express how much love, and admiration, and awe, I felt watching Martin Freeman in this episode. I’ve adored this man for years, and seeing him in the show is… extraordinary. I knew how fantastic he was, always had, but suddenly he’s allowed to be all of what he could be, and he soars, he inhabits John  Watson with such an aura, and so much simplicity too, there is no words that can describe how talented this man is.

Thank you, so much. My heart will probably never recover from this episode. In the best way. Now get that second BAFTA, you ridiculously talent human being you.
